Pentecost Retreat Part 3 - 2004

This is part 3 of a retreat Msgr. Reilly gave to a group of students from Franciscan University of Steubenville. Msgr. Reilly gives suggestions to spiritual library resources for retreatants: Bible, Catechism, Decrees on Vatacan II, good spiritual books such as My Daily Bread, daily Missal, Office readings, personal prayers and devotions. He then expands to talk about Life Centers in Europe. He also stresses the importance of recognizing the true meaning of the Cross, and the importance of devotion to our Blessed Lady. Rosaries are powerful weapon in overcoming the culture of death! He then goes on to explore the gifts of the Holy Spirit and the thealogical virtues. Msgr. Reilly concludes the talk by summarizing the four basic rules of the Helpers:

1. To give God permission in your life. Don't get in His way.
2. To give all glory to God, don't worry about who gets the credit.
3. Keep a sense of humor. Take God serious. A sense of humor keeps you humble.
4. To pray.
